Fishing Lessons Near Orlando & Instructional Fishing Charters

Are you interested in learning how to become a better angler and catch more fish? Do you want to teach your kids to fish? Do you need fishing lessons for beginners? Do you want to improve your existing skills and fish like the pros? Are you new to the central Florida area and want to learn more about fishing the saltwater flats of Mosquito Lagoon, the Indian River Lagoon, Atlantic Coast beaches, or our many local lakes? I offer one on one personal fishing lessons and fishing instruction in the Greater Orlando area.

With over 30 years of experience fishing Central Florida, I’ll teach you practical skills that usually take years of trial and error to learn on your own. Each session can be tailored to your interests or cover a wide range of topics including but not limited to:

• Tackle selection and setup
• Knot tying
• Bait and lure selection and use
• Casting techniques
• Species-specific tactics
• Seasonal strategies
• Fighting and landing fish
• Tackle care and maintenance

Fishing Lesson Rates are $75 per hour for one person or $115 for two. All lessons will be held at a location chosen by the guide.

Fly casting and Fly Fishing Lessons are available on a per hour basis. I am an International Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor. Whether you are new to fly fishing or are seeking to improve your current casting style, learning to become a more efficient caster will help you to catch more fish. I teach fly casting for beginners and advanced anglers in the Orlando and Central Florida area. Fly fishing lessons are available any day of the week. Rates are $75/hr for one and $115 for 2 persons. Instructional fishing charters can also be arranged to meet your needs. I have been teaching anglers how to fish at seminars, in magazine articles, and in person for over 15 years. I have more than three decades of experience in this area and I enjoy sharing the things I have learned with others.

You may wish to have an instructional fishing charter on my boat. During this trip, we would focus on the above topics and apply them in actual fishing situations. While I will be happy to show people general areas to fish and what times of year to fish them, these charters may not be used to mark all my fishing spots on a GPS.
